This app is built using data from verified Islamic repositories to ensure all Quranic text comes from verified Uthmani script sources, all Hadith are from authenticated collections (Sahih Bukhari, Muslim, etc.), and Tafsir is from classical scholars like Ibn Kathir. AI insights summarize based on verified sources. We prioritize authenticity over convenience.
We source religious texts from verified upstream repositories/APIs and keep local copies unmodified: Warsh Arabic from the official KFGQPC dataset via https://github.com/thetruetruth/quran-data-kfgqpc, Hafs Arabic from the KFGQPC Hafs dataset (https://github.com/thetruetruth/quran-data-kfgqpc/blob/main/hafs/data/hafsData_v18.json), Quran translations from https://github.com/fawazahmed0/quran-api, Tafsir Ibn Kathir from Quran.com APIs (https://api.qurancdn.com and https://api.quran.com), Hadith from https://sunnah.com with authenticated explanations from https://hadeethenc.com, and Adkar from Hisnul Muslim, authentic Hadith collections, and the Seen-Arabic DB.
Scoring uses weighted points with no daily cap by default: reading (+10/page), listening (+3/min), Verse of the Day (+10), Hadith of the Day (+10), Dhikr (+10), streak bonus (+5/day), and Al-Kahf completion (+120). Depth points are also included: Tafsir engaged (+5), non-empty note (+10), non-empty reflection (+10), and active reading time (+5 every 20s after 1m30, paused after 30s idle). Levels are simple: every +500 points = +1 level. The leaderboard resets monthly per Hijri month.
Prayer times are calculated from your device location using Aladhan.com API with regional calculation methods (MWL, ISNA, Umm Al-Qura, etc.). Adhan audio comes from Mishary Rashid Alafasy (Makkah), Mansour Al-Zahrani (Madinah), and Hafiz Mustafa Özcan (Turkish).
The colored Tajweed rules are generated algorithmically using regex-based pattern matching on the text. They follow standard Tajweed rules (Ghunnah, Qalqalah, Madd). While accurate for standard patterns, they are not manually verified by a scholar for every instance.
We use the authentic Maghrebi Script (historical standard for Warsh): Fa (ڢ) has a dot below, Qaf (ڧ) has one dot above, and Alif Maqsura is dotless. This is 100% authentic to the KFGQPC Mushaf.
QuranCircle displays 11 Sajdah verses based on the Warsh narration from the official KFGQPC (King Fahd Glorious Quran Printing Complex) data. The sajdah symbol (۩) is embedded directly in the Quran text file. The 11 verses are: Al-A'raf (7:206), Ar-Ra'd (13:16), An-Nahl (16:50), Al-Isra (17:108), Maryam (19:58), Al-Hajj (22:18), Al-Furqan (25:60), An-Naml (27:26), As-Sajdah (32:15), Sad (38:23), and Fussilat (41:36). Note: Some apps show 14 verses using Uthmani/Hafs narration, but scholarly consensus is on 11 verses for Warsh narration.
